Doll Activists Oppose the Federal Anti-Doll Law A guest post by Lacy Liberty

Several doll activists and vendors partnered with the Prostasia Foundation and confidently responded to the US Government’s recent intrusion into our bedrooms.

In recent years, we have witnessed many attacks on Sex Tech freedom in Canada, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. The international doll community failed to act in those places and the predictable outcome was a new generation of laws for victimless crimes. Will we make the same mistake in America? NO, WE WON’T!

On August 26 2019, the American doll activists (including the Prostasia Foundation), sent a fact-filled letter to Representative Jerrold Nadler. The Free Speech Coalition also added their support as a cosigner. The subject was Nadler’s toxic anti-doll bill that is currently being discussed in the US House of Representatives. The anti-doll bill is dangerous because it is built upon stereotypes and myths (several are actually listed in the bill) and the bill is too vague to even define what product is being outlawed.

Note this clause in particular:
“In this section, the term ‘child sex doll’ means an anatomically-correct doll, mannequin, or robot, with the features of, or with features that resemble those of, a minor, intended for use in sexual acts.”.

A minor, as commonly understood in the USA, is any person under the age of 18. A minor can be easily identified by a birth certificate and photo identification. Dolls are not humans and do not have such age verification documents. So enforcement of this new law will be totally subjective. And as we’ve seen with the Customs and Border Patrol, the punishment comes first, then after your life has been ruined, the CBP will decide if the law was broken

We’ve seen this sort of thing before. The Tennessee anti-doll law also contained the same fatal flaw. It requires law enforcement to look at a doll and guess its age. If they guess one day under 18, you’re charged with a felony. No victims required.

The price of liberty is eternal vigilance. We can all be thankful and supportive that the doll community is standing up for freedom. The full text of the letter is here
